Miolo Design has opened in Porto and, along with its own brand, will be offering its customers products by Agape, Roda, Magis, Davide Groppi and Archiwood by Banema.
The showroom, designed by Camilla Benedini is located in an old bakery completely renovated, which still exhibits its distinctive old-fashioned signage on the façade. The exhibition that has been is set over two floors connected by a staircase that leads up to the first floor through a huge square-shaped cut in the ceiling. A “hollowing out” concept that is reiterated right across the ground floor ceiling, which features a combination of square panels that almost look like imaginary empty spaces, black holes punctuated by spotlights designed by Davide Groppi.
Plenty of space has been allocated for Agape: the Marsiglia and Spoon XL bathtubs on the ground floor, together with the Evo-N compositions with Drop washbasin and Flat XL system with Bjhon 1 washbasin. The windows feature Patricia Urquiola’s Cuna bathtub and the Ell washbasin designed by Benedini Associati in partnership with Andrés Jost and Diego Cisi. On the other hand the Drop, Pear C, Vieques and Bjhon 1 washbasins on pedestals are all on display on the first floor.
