“A tribute we are paying to Angelo Mangiarotti, intrigued by his design and won over by the great passion he always showed for his work”: that is how Studio Mangiarotti referred to the project for “La Capra” Reception House, a showroom for cheeses completed in July in the city of Kurobe. A land that the maestro was particularly fond of and where he stayed in the 1980s, strengthening the very close ties he always had with Japan. “La Capra” was created after reviewing over 100 works from a career lasting over 60 years and re-examining architectural plans that the Maestro himself would have liked to build in this area. Inspired by one of the leitmotifs of his architecture that is the real linchpin of the project: a glass structure supported by an external steel frame. The Tre 3 chair, Cavalletto system and Compensato table that really caught the eye and was even applauded by Alvar Aalto, were carefully selected from the Agapecasa catalogue for the interiors.
