Belgrade Faculty of Applied Arts will be displaying some of the projects developed by its most promising students during Mantova Creativa. All the selected projects aim at both producing a wider understanding of creativity in its core and using applied design as a way to bring innovation.
Among the projects, those developed by two young designers – Petar Blagojevic and Fiona Sindjelic – who had the opportunity to take part in a two-week Agape workshop aimed at creating a design item whose graph will be on display during the days of Mantova Creativa.
As a result of the workshop, the creation of two projects: washbasin PEZ and grab bar SWEEP. Washbasin PEZ design starts from the freestanding washbasin NIVIS concept (design Andrea Morgante – Shiro Studio for Agape) and develops it in a washbasin which can adapt to the growth of children: thanks to its being stackable, the washbasin can change its height and also act as a towel rack and as a container. Grab bar SWEEP is an accessory designed to make the use of bathroom easier for handicapped persons. SWEEP is a solid surface, soft rubber and steel grab bar which can be arranged in different areas of the bathroom, such as sanitary ware, showers and bathtubs. SWEEP was not only created for handicapped persons but it can also adapt – thanks to its well-finished and refined design – to Agape’s way of interpreting the bathroom.
